William and Mary Carved Oak Mule Chest, the plank and cleated top attached with original wrought iron hinges to the panelled base with three carved front panels of stylised flowers and stiles carved with Ivy folliage, above two moulded fronted drawers with brass pull handles and eschutcheons.
This chest has similarities to ones made in Connecticut USA, between 1680 and 1710.
